Surprise early morning snow

I woke up this morning to a soft snow. This is due to some long-range lake effect moisture strenghened by a trof south of Boston. Accumulations sould reach about an inch in most spots. The afternoon will feature a clearing sky with cold temps. Highs will only reach 30 in most spots. Lower in the Mountains.

Storms we have but rain or snow?

Well now we are coming into a more active pattern. This is due to the jet stream ( the storm “highway”) is sliding down over the area. This will mean that we have 2 chancs at putting down some snow before christmas day.

Thursday storm

This morning some of us will get some snow with a detached shortwave. (A little disturbance in the atmosphere) This will wrap up as the morning heads on. Tomorrow will see some rain. In fact a lot of rain. This will arrive in the morning around 7:00 am. It will wrap up around 7:00 pm.

Stay tuned!
