Slight Chance Showers And Thunderstorms Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds as a cold front slowly approaches the region. Expect some clouds and showers to develop along that front as we head towards the afternoon hours. The showers will be most widespread in the mountains with coverage becoming scattered as they head towards the coast. A few of the stronger cells could produce a rumble of thunder but the severe weather potential looks to hover somewhere right around zero. High temps will rise into the upper 70’s north and low 80’s south with cooler temps along the coast.

More Perfect Summer Weather Today

Hello everyone!

Our stretch of stunning weather will continue today as cool, dry air from Canada continues to pour into the region on its way south. Skies will be mainly sunny with the exception of a few high clouds in the south. Temps will rise into the low 70’s north and the upper 70’s south, and dew points will continue to remain locked in the “low” category. Sunny skies, low humidity, and mild temps- all sounds perfect to me! Enjoy it!

A Beautiful Summer Day

Hello everyone!

Today’s weather will be just about perfect here in Maine and New Hampshire. High pressure will continue to push into the region and as a result, widespread sunshine is expected for all. Northwest winds will keep temps mild and the humidity low as we warm up to near 80 in the south and into the mid 70’s north. No precipitation is expected as a Nor’easter (!) develops well to our south. That system will continue to pull in cool, dry air over the next several days which will result in more very pleasant weather to come. Enjoy it!

Unsettled Weather Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature unsettled weather as a variety of upper level and surface disturbances swarm around the area. The first round of showers is now offshore and another batch of rain is incoming from New York. This will mainly impact southern areas through the early afternoon. Some breaks in the clouds are trying to develop over the mountains and if they continue to be successful, the threat will increase for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. However, due to the abundant cloud cover, these storms are expected to be weak and isolated. Temps will rise into the 60’s and low 70’s as clouds limit daytime heating.

Warming Up Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature clear skies, light winds, and warmer temps as high pressure moves overhead. Look for highs to get into the low 80’s for most areas with slightly cooler temps along the coast where a sea breeze will kick in this afternoon. Given the presence of high pressure, no precipitation is expected anywhere in the region today and clouds will be minimal. Enjoy the beautiful summer day as low humidity remains in place!

Cool Weather Continues

Hello everyone!

Our glorious stretch of cool weather will roll on today as we continue to be placed perfectly in between two areas of low pressure. The first is the one that brought us the showers yesterday. It is moving towards Nova Scotia and N/NW winds behind it are helping to keep us in the cool weather. The NW winds will also try to help things clear out a bit this afternoon, but we’ll still be under the influence of a second area of low pressure in the Saint Lawrence river valley. This low will help keep clouds and a few scattered showers in the mix with both the clouds and the showers expected to be most concentrated near the low in the far north. Southern and western areas are likely to see a return of the sunshine before the sun sets this evening. Highs will range from the low/mid 60’s north to the upper 60’s/low 70’s south.
