Hello everyone!

Today will feature morning cloudiness giving way to afternoon sunshine outside of the mountain upslope regions. Look for highs to rise to near 40 in the north and near 50 along the coast. Winds will be light out of the NW as high pressure builds in. We’ll remain dry with the exception of the mountains where some upslope rain/snow showers are expected.

Today will feature mainly cloudy skies, cool temps, and the chance for showers in southern areas as a disturbance zooms by to our south. Look for skies to be mainly cloudy today with the exception being the north and mountains who will be far enough away from the system to our south for some sunny breaks. Highs will range from the low 50’s south to the low 40’s north. We’ll stay mostly dry today with the exception being southern areas where late day showers are expected. Those should hold off until early evening though so there will be plenty of dry hours through the rest of the day.

Today will feature mainly cloudy skies, light winds, cool temps, and occasional showers as low pressure drifts by to our north. One round of showers is currently ongoing and another will roll through in the early afternoon with a couple hour break in between. High temps will again be cool under the clouds with highs in the upper 30’s north and upper 40’s south. We’ll get a truer taste of Indian Summer this coming week with widespread 60’s and maybe even some low 70’s as a ridge moves overhead.

Hello everyone!

Today will feature cloudy skies with periods of moderate to heavy rain as a storm system intensifies just to our south and east. Rain and mountain snow is already underway this morning and will continue right on through the afternoon hours as the developing storm continues to throw moisture in our direction. Rainfall totals will range from 1-2″ with some localized 2.5″ amounts along the coast where the heaviest bands from the offshore storm will be hanging out. Winds will also become gusty out of the ENE with gusts to 40mph possible along the coast. Wind advisories are out for the midcoast due to gusts there of near 50mph. Up in the mountains, snow is ongoing this morning especially at high elevations. Accumulations of 4-8″ are expected at the higher elevations while the valley floors will likely only see 2-4″. Farther south across the higher foothills, coatings are possible with rain south of that. Heavy rain tapers to showers this evening before dry conditions return for tonight. Highs today will range from the low to mid 30’s north to the low 50’s along the coast.

Hello everyone!

Today will feature increasing clouds ahead of an incoming storm system currently located to our west. Expect it to arrive this afternoon over SW NH and this evening as you head north and east. For the coast and adjacent inland areas, this will be an all rain event. For the mountains and the higher terrain of the foothills, this will start out as snow/mixed precipitation before changing to rain. In the highest elevations of the mountains, it is likely to remain all snow with substantial accumulations expected above 2500 feet or so. Before the precip arrives, look for bright spots this morning to fade to overcast skies by this evening. Temps will range from the low 30’s north to the low/mid 40’s south along with light ENE breezes. No more blustery NW winds!

Heavy rain and strong winds are likely tomorrow. I’ll see if I can do another update on that this evening but that’s unfortunately schedule dependent.

Hello everyone!

Today will feature more of pretty much the exact same weather that we’ve grown used to under the influence of the low to our NE. Skies will be mainly sunny along the coast with clouds and snow showers continuing over the mountains. NW winds will continue to be breezy but will be slightly less so today as high pressure edges ever closer. Gusts will be in the 15-25mph range rather than the 25-35mph range they’ve been stuck in since Saturday. Highs will be even chillier than past days though with temps stuck in the mid 30’s north and mid to upper 40’s south. A few 50 degree readings are possible across SE NH but they will be the exception, not the rule. Fall is here.

Today will feature mainly sunny skies, cool temps, and breezy NW winds. Sound familiar? Highs will rise into the upper 30’s in the mountains with upper 40’s to near 50 along the coast. NW winds will again be gusting between 20 and 30mph and mountain upslope snow showers will continue. Sky cover will follow the same upslope/downslope pattern with overcast skies in the high terrain and clear skies downwind of the mountains.

Today will feature morning clouds clearing out to afternoon sunshine as NW winds continue to blow. Look for winds to gust around 30mph which is better than yesterday’s 40mph but gusty nonetheless. Temps will remain crisp with highs near 40 north and near 50 south. Upslope rain and snow will continue in the high terrain with light accumulations possible. Otherwise dry weather is expected region wide.

Today will feature mainly cloudy skies, gusty NW winds, and cool temps. Look for highs in the mid to upper 30’s in the northern mountains and upper 40’s to low 50’s along the coast. Despite strong downsloping, almost everyone will remain mostly cloudy today though a peek or two of sun can’t be ruled out along the coast. NW winds will gust over 40mph at times. With strong NW flow and lots of moisture comes the threat for upsloping and several inches of upslope snow are forecast for the higher elevations. Winter is coming!

Hello everyone!

Wasn’t that some interesting weather last night? Deep tropical moisture got wrung out by a surface trough embedded within a large scale pattern of rising air caused by a 130kt jet streak. In other words, it rained. A lot. Hopefully everyone’s basements are dry and even if they aren’t, just remember that a lot of water just went into the aquifer which benefits everyone. In terms of today’s weather, look for more clouds and showers but nothing like yesterday’s show. There looks to be one band of moderate to heavy rain this afternoon but otherwise showers will be on the lighter side and scattered as well. Temps will remain pretty similar to yesterday with highs in the low 60’s south. The change in temps will start across the mountains today where by evening, temps will be in the 30’s and snow will be falling at elevation.

That chill spreads south for tomorrow along with gusty NW winds.
