Hello everyone!
Canadian high pressure is once again in control of our weather today, with generally quiet conditions expected to continue. Skies are mainly sunny across most of the region this morning, but satellite imagery shows some clouds moving in from the west . Neither sun nor cloud will be able to take full control today, so we’ll be left with a mix of both . A slight westerly component to our winds will mean that upslope areas in the mountains will be more likely to see clouds, with downslope areas near the coast more likely to see sun. Highs will range from around 50 in the mountains to around 65 in the south . A brief shower is possible in the mountains later on today, but the vast majority of the area will be dry through the day today.

Hello everyone!
There’s not too much in the way of interesting things to say about today’s weather. A weak cold front is currently draped over the mountains, and will be drifting southeast across the area this afternoon. There’s very little moisture associated with the front, so a few scattered showers in the mountains will be about all that’s expected precipitation wise . Highs will range from the upper 40’s in the north to the mid 60’s in the south . As far as sky cover goes, expect a mix of sun and clouds with more sun closer to the coast, and more clouds as you head towards the mountains.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature improving weather as low pressure moves from the Mid Atlantic to the Canadian Maritimes. When the low is to our southwest this morning, expect fairly steady rain . Once the low is northeast of us this afternoon/evening, expect rain to end with clearing skies. Most of the area should actually be sunny by sunset . Northeast winds will be in place ahead of the low for most of the day, which combined with the cloud cover will keep temps down. Look for high temps to fall within a few degrees of 60 across most of the region.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature pleasantly cool weather as Canadian high pressure builds in behind last night’s cold front. Highs will range from a little below 60 in the north to a little below 70 in the south . Skies will feature increasing cloudiness as an area of low pressure approaches from the southwest. The rain from that system will hold off until early tomorrow morning, with dry conditions expected today.

Hello everyone!
A cold front is approaching the area this morning, but won’t actually arrive until early this evening. This means that we have all day for patchy sunshine to heat the atmosphere up. The energy we get from sun at the end of September is a far cry from what it is in the early summer, but it will be enough to push temps into the upper 70’s for most of NH and western Maine . Cooler temps will be found northeast of Portland, with highs around 70 .
We’ll be mostly dry through most of the day today, with storms along the front arriving in the form of a line. This line will first arrive in the mountains this evening, between 6 and 7 . The line will then move east, reaching the coastal plain between 9 and 10 . Storms will weaken as they move towards the midcoast just prior to midnight. The main threat from storms today will be strong gusty winds, that could cause some localized power outage issues.
Cooler and drier weather will arrive tomorrow post-front.

Hello everyone!
Cool temps and overcast skies will prevail today as rain overspreads the area from southwest to northeast. It’s already raining in southwestern NH, and rain should arrive in Maine a little before noon. Northeastern parts of the region will see rain by the middle part of the afternoon . That rain will be of the steadier variety, with some heavier pockets possible especially in the mountains/CT river valley. High temps will be quite cool today with cold air damming eroding very slowly. The warmest temps in southeasterly flow will be near the coast, around 60, while the mountains hang on to that cooler air with highs just shy of 50 . Rain tapers off later tonight.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature the coolest temps most of us have seen in a while, both this morning with low temps and this afternoon with high temps. Many mountain areas are below freezing this morning, with temps near 50 along the coast. Temps in the north this afternoon will struggle to reach the 50 degree mark, while temps in the south will only rise marginally above it . The warmest spot today will be the CT river valley, where highs around 55 are expected . Skies will start out mainly sunny , with some high clouds moving in from the west this afternoon/evening.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature cool temps and dry weather as Canadian high pressure builds into the region. Look for highs ranging from the low 50’s in the north to the mid 60’s in the south. Skies will feature more sun than clouds this morning, but a cold front approaching the northern mountains will result in increased cloudiness this afternoon especially in that area. Little to no precipitation is expected today, outside perhaps of a brief evening shower associated with that front in the north.

Hello everyone!
According to the astronomers, fall begins this evening a little before 10 PM, and conveniently enough, Mother Nature appears to be on the same page. We’ll see our classic upslope/downslope pattern set up with low clouds hanging tough over the mountains, and clearer skies near the coast. High clouds will continue to filter overhead today, so even along the coast, sunshine will be filtered at best . High temps will draw similar lines, with low 50’s in the mountains, and mid 60’s near the coast . Aside from a brief shower possible in the upslope areas, dry weather will prevail across the region.

Hello everyone!
A warm front is working its way through the region this morning. Showers and thunderstorms along that front will work their way into northern areas later on this morning into this afternoon . For southern areas, mostly dry weather is expected with more clouds than sun . You’ll also notice southerly winds pick up as the front establishes itself to the north. Gusts over 30 mph are expected across the area, with higher values in the higher terrain . High temps will range from 55 in the north, to around 70 in southern NH . Showers and storms are possible tonight as a strong cold front moves through, but due to the early morning timing of the frontal passage, no severe weather is expected.
