We have one more mild storm in the pipeline that will begin today and last through Thursday. The warm front will be the feature we’re dealing with today and with it will come drizzle, fog, and more nasty warmth. Highs will rise into the 40’s north and 50’s south. Most precip today will be in the form of drizzle but some showers will arrive by the evening hours which could fall as flurries up in the mountains where temps will once again be falling by this evening.
More showers and a few storms are possible tomorrow into Thursday before a cold front knocks some sense into this weather pattern. There’s a time and a place for this weather. It’s called North Carolina in February or Maine in May. Not Maine in February!
Our confused weather pattern rolls on today as a storm previously forecast to do what February storms should (i.e. track to our south and bring us snow) decides to move to our west. As a result, look for more of this disgusting warmth as temps soar into the 40’s north and 50’s south. Showers of the liquid variety will be scattered across the north and southern areas will see a mix of sun and clouds.
The times, they are a changin’! A cold front is on the way for tonight and ahead of it we have one more foggy/toasty day to get through before winter’s magic can begin to return. Look for highs ranging from the 50’s north to the low 60’s in SW NH along with drizzle and fog as our snowpack continues to melt. Showers will move into the CT river valley this evening and move eastward tonight, changing to snow in the high elevations. The ski areas should wake up to 2-4″ of snow tomorrow morning with 6″ possible at the summits. About time we put some snow between us and the glaciers!
One more storm threatens to be warm and rainy mid-week and then the pattern shift will be complete with a snowier few weeks incoming. Winter’s not over yet!
Today will feature more awful weather as a warm front lifts north through the region. Look for highs to range from 40 ahead of the front in the mountains to 60 behind the front in SW NH. As warm air travels north across our snowpack, look for drizzle and fog to develop with the chance of an actual shower in the south along the front.
Today will feature more warm weather. Highs will range from 40 in the north to 55 in the south under partly to mostly sunny skies. Things should remain dry except for a line of showers forecast to roll through in the afternoon from west to east. They are not forecast to cause any issues.
It looks like this disgusting pattern only has a couple more days left. Colder air will be back in charge by Sunday.
Our unfortunate little warm stretch continues today as another warm front rolls overhead. Look for mainly cloudy skies with mild temps and mainly dry conditions though a morning shower is possible. Highs will again top out in the 40’s for most.
Today will feature more in the way if warmth as our little break from winter continues. Look for slowly fading sun to bring temps up to the 40 degree mark for most with mid to upper 30’s north. A few light sleet/freezing rain showers are possible late tonight into early tomorrow morning so use caution if heading out early tomorrow.
Today will feature temps that are much more reasonable for February however still on the warm side. Look for highs in the low to mid 30’s north and upper 30’s to low 40’s south. Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds and no precip is expected.
Today will feature ridiculously mild weather as a cold front approaches from the north. Look for highs in the mid 40’s north and mid 50’s south under partly to mostly sunny skies.
Clouds this morning will give way to sunnier skies this afternoon as a weak disturbance drifts by overhead. Look for milder temps to continue as highs rise to freezing in the north and up to around 40 in the south. Winds will be noticeably lighter than yesterday. Watch for black ice this morning as any of yesterday’s melting refroze in last night’s cooler temps. This trend of melting/refreezing will continue through the week as daytime highs rise above freezing and nighttime lows sink below the 32 degree mark.
