Today will feature the passage of a strong cold font that will result in a wild temperature swing. This morning we will have temps in the 40’s and 50’s with strong SE winds. Rain will be the dominant form of precip this morning due to the warm temps. This afternoon however, we experience the passage of the front with a precipitous drop in temps as gusty NW winds will bring in a new shot of arctic air. Temps by sundown will be in the 10’s and 20s which could cause flash freezing where puddles of rain/snow melt collect on the roads then freeze. A cold week is ahead followed by more mild weather next weekend.
