Partly sunny today, mild temps this weekend into next week

Today will be the last day of cold weather for a while as the much talked about polar vortex will be shifting back to the north and a warm southerly flow will be bringing in warmer air. Temps today will be in the 10’s and 20’s before rising into the 40’s this weekend. A weak cold front will pass through today that gives us a slight chance for a flurry or snow shower. We have a few heavy rain chances in the next few days one on Saturday and one early next week. On Saturday, 1-2″ of rain will fall causing much of our snow pack to melt that could cause flooding. On Tuesday, a coastal storm could bring more heavy rain.
