Incrementally colder this weekend

Hello everyone!

Warm temps continue today with highs in the 30’s and 40’s however, cooler temps will begin to move in this weekend. Each day, another disturbance will pass offshore and NW winds will bring in slightly cooler air. Temps will fall by 2-4 degrees each day. We start with temps in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s today. Tomorrow we see mid to upper 30’s and by Sunday, low to mid 30’s will be common. A strong cold front pushes through Sunday night bringing in more seasonable temps in the 10’s and 20’s. With regards to precipitation, a norlun trough will set up near the Maine coast this weekend providing a focus for snow/rain. Last year, a norlun trough set up but 10 miles offshore and our foot of snow became a dusting. This year, wherever it sets up could see either a plowable snow, or a rain event. The difference will be but a few degrees. Beyond that, I see no major precipitation chances. A storm we were previously eyeing for mid- week looks to head out to sea.
