Brief but very heavy snow today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature very brief but very heavy snow associated with snow squalls. Snowfall rates could reach or maybe exceed 3″/hr and 15-20 mph winds could cause brief whiteout conditions. Despite the extremely heavy snow, it will last for only 20-30 minutes and accumulations should be minor with most spots getting less than an inch. These snow squalls will occur in the early afternoon. Temps will be in the low 20’s.

Tomorrow we do this all over again with more snow squalls and brief whiteout conditions. Friday is the break in the action and light snow returns Saturday. More snow is possible Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. I see no big storms in the 7 day. In addition to that, I do not see a shot at the freezing mark in the 7+ day.
