Hello everyone!
Today will feature yesterday’s NW winds changing to today’s S/SW winds. This means that a warmer airmass will be moving in for most of us. Therefore, instead of 50’s, the mountains and foothills will be seeing 60’s today. However, an onshore flow brings colder weather to the coast so instead of yesterday’s 70’s, we’ll enjoy some nice 40’s and 50’s today, coolest along the midcoast. Skies will once again be sunny as high pressure remains in control. Dry air will also continue to be in place today and while the wind criteria for a red flag warning looks like it won’t be met, use caution if burning some of that spring brush today as the risk is higher than normal that things could get out of hand.
Looking ahead, wetter weather is on the horizon with the threats mainly Saturday midday (only north) and early next week (everywhere).
