Wet And Windy Conditions Move In This Afternoon

Hello everyone!

Today will feature rain moving in as a late season coastal storm intensifies to our south. There is currently a band of moderate to heavy rain over MA and NH that will drift into western ME this morning but that should clear out for a few dry hours later this morning and into the early afternoon before the main event rolls in late afternoon. Rain will be heavy and steady this afternoon into this evening and winds will pick up along the coast gusting to 40mph at times. Up in the mountains, the higher elevations look to pick up a little more snow as the air cools aloft.

Flood watches are posted for the entire area as 1-3″ of rain combines with leftover snow melt to fill the already pretty full rivers so watch for some minor flooding around the area today through Wednesday. Coastal flood warnings and advisories are up for those areas that typically see minor coastal flooding problems during events like these.

A quick peek at the rest of the week reveals lots of showers mainly focused in the afternoon/evening hours as this same storm lingers around the area.
