Hello everyone!
Today will feature increasing sunshine and decreasing dew points as a cold front moves off to our south. NNW winds behind the front will usher in a drier airmass, which will be warmed to pleasant temperatures by downsloping. Highs will range from 65 in the north to 80 in the south . Plenty of cloud cover is noted on visible satellite imagery this morning , but clearing skies are working in from the west and north, so look for a gradual transition to sunshine through the day today. We’ll remain mostly dry with the possible exception of a brief shower over southern NH.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature afternoon showers and thunderstorms as a very slow moving cold front drifts in our direction from the northwest. Look for a mix of sun and clouds this morning with increasingly warm and humid conditions developing . A few showers will move through Southern NH this morning , but otherwise mostly dry conditions are expected for the next few hours.
Showers and storms will be strongest in the mountains this afternoon, as shown by this HRRR simulated radar image valid at 3 PM. Map via weathermodels.com
As we move into the afternoon hours, expect showers and storms to begin to pop up over the mountains . Winds in the mid to upper levels of the atmosphere are fairly light today, so storms will move slowly, and severe weather is not expected to be a major issue. The primary threats from these storms will be torrential downpours and lightning. Due to the slow storm motions, those downpours could linger in some areas, creating a flash flood risk. This risk is greatest in the mountains. Storms will weaken as they drift closer to the coast tonight. Highs will range from around 70 along the coast to around 80 inland .

Hello everyone!
Today will feature beautiful late spring weather as high pressure retains control of the area while low pressure moves north to our west. Skies will be mainly sunny today , and winds will become southerly this afternoon . Those southerly winds will bring temps up into the low 80’s for the majority of the area , with the exception being areas along the coast, especially northeast of Portland where a southerly wind comes in off the still-chilly Gulf of Maine. Highs along the coast will sit around 70 .

Hello everyone!
After a relatively warm day yesterday, a cooler day is in store for today as winds turn onshore , and the influence of the still-chilly Gulf of Maine spreads inland. Highs will range from 60 along the shoreline to 70 in the Connecticut River valley of Western NH . Skies are mainly sunny this morning , and we should retain more sun than clouds through the rest of the day as high pressure drifts just off to our east. No precipitation is expected.

Hello everyone!
Northwesterly winds will bring clear and warm conditions to the area today as downsloping kicks into gear. Look for any last holdouts of morning fog/low cloudiness to quickly burn off over the next couple hours with mainly sunny skies expected by lunchtime. Temps will rise into the mid 70’s north and mid 80’s south , with the aforementioned northwesterly winds keeping any sea breeze circulations at bay .

Hello everyone!
Today will feature more generally cool weather as the influence of maritime Canadian high pressure lingers. Look for highs to be coolest along the coast, in the upper 50’s, and warmest in western areas, near 70 . Cloud cover is widespread this morning , but should diminish some as a weak boundary moves through this afternoon . An isolated shower can’t be ruled out as that boundary moves through the mountains, but overall dry conditions are expected again today as well.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature cool temps for all, and cloudy skies for most as a backdoor cold front pushes off to our southwest, and northeasterly winds continue to transport cooler air in from Canada. Highs will range from around 50 in SW NH to around 60 northeast of Augusta , where some sunny breaks are expected throughout the day . Most areas will stay dry today, with the exception being southern NH where showers are expected to develop this evening as an area of low pressure moves by to our south.

Hello everyone!
Unfortunately, today will feature hot weather as westerly winds kick downsloping induced warming into high gear. Look for temps to be pleasantly warm in the mountains, with highs around 80, while the coastal plain bakes under temps in the upper 80’s to low 90’s . Breezy westerly winds will make the heat a little more bearable by keeping the air moving, and keeping the humidity down . Skies will be mostly sunny, and no precip is expected.

Hello everyone!
Today will feature generally sunny skies and fairly mild temps as a cold front approaches from the north. Look for some showers and thunderstorms to develop along this front, with the greatest shower/storm coverage expected across northeastern areas . Some of the stronger cells may produce some small hail and brief breezy conditions, but no organized severe weather is expected. Highs will range from 60 in the northern mountains to 80 in southern NH .

Hello everyone!
Today will feature cloudy skies across the area as a very weak disturbance drifts in our direction . While this disturbance will provide lift, and enough moisture for clouds, very dry air near the surface will lead to any rain that falls out of those clouds evaporating during much of the day today. It won’t be until late this afternoon in NH and later this evening in ME that raindrops actually make it to the surface. Even when this does happen, don’t expect anything more than very light showers as there isn’t any deep moisture associated with this system. Temps will range from around 70 in far northeastern parts of the area to 55 in central/western NH .
