Another pretty nice day by April standards is on the way with sunny skies and warm temps. Winds though will be a bit of an issue with gusts approaching or exceeding 25mph. The air will also be extremely dry and the combination of those two factors has led the NWS in Gray to issue a red flag warning for the foothills. Basically what this means is that the fire danger is elevated today so hold off on burning that brush pile for at least a little bit until we get a tad more precip. Temps today will range from the low 50’s north to the mid 60’s south.
No big storms are in sight though some rain or snow is likely with the passage of a weak storm Saturday. The best chance for impacts from this one will be in the north.
