Today will feature mainly sunny skies, light north winds, and generally calm conditions. Highs will range through the 30’s north and 40’s south and clouds will slowly overspread the region from the west in the afternoon. These clouds mark the first traces of the first in a parade of messy storms. Usually I don’t go too far out in my normal morning updates but because it’s a vacation week and we haven’t seen much in the way of messy storms, it might be nice to plan ahead.
First storm: Tonight into tomorrow. Looks like mainly snow far north, mix south of route 2 but NW of Portland, and mainly rain along the coast and south of Portland. I’ll have a full blog update on this this evening with the details.
Second storm: Tuesday into Wednesday. Mainly snow, some mixing possible along the immediate coast and far south. A plowable snowfall seems likely but it’s too early to pin down exact amounts. I’ll have full updates starting tomorrow evening.
Third storm: Thursday into Friday. Still far out but signals are strong we see another storm around New Years. It looks more wet/mix that white at the moment but I’ll keep an eye on it.
Have a great holiday weekend!
