Hello everyone!

It’s been a great 2015 for the blog and now I think it’s time to expand a little! Starting today, I’ll be posting quick updates on the Forecasterjack Facebook page in the afternoon/evening with any forecast changes/updates and a look ahead to the next few days. They won’t be long and involved, just a quick heads up on the next day’s weather, some quick details on the evening’s forecast, or monitoring minor changes to the forecast during storms. These posts will lean more towards ‘grab and go’ weather info with less explanation than the usual blog posts. I’ll still have posts here every morning and in the evenings when storms are coming. The new FB page is simply an expansion of what I already do here. It will generally run on the premise of more, shorter updates (for example during storms) with the long discussions remaining on the blog here. Hello everyone!

A weak front has moved off the coast in the past few hours with little fanfare and behind it westerly winds are developing. Guess what that means? Clouds and snow showers are likely in the mountains with highs in the upper 20’s while the coast sees partly to mainly sunny skies and highs in the 30’s. A couple inches of snow are expected in the mountains where snow showers set up, most likely in the favorable upslope regions.
