Today will feature more of the disgusting heat we suffered through yesterday. The so-called Ridge of Death is parked over the subtropical Atlantic and southwest winds on the western edge of that high are responsible for bringing in the heat and humidity. Temps today will again rise into the upper 80’s to mid 90’s. A few showers and storms are possible across northeast areas this afternoon though otherwise, clear skies are expected. Thankfully, relief is on the way as a backdoor cold front sweeps in from the north tomorrow. By Wednesday, the sun will be out as temps settle right around the 70 degree mark.
