All good things must, at least temporarily, come to an end, and our recent stretch of beautifully cool/dry weather is no exception. Hot and humid weather will return today as a cold front approaches from the west. Look for highs to soar well into the 80’s for most with the only folks getting to enjoy milder temps in the 70’s residing along the midcoast. While most of the day will be dry, the combination of an approaching cold front and the oppressive heat/humidity will drive the threat for showers and thunderstorms this evening and especially into tonight. While most storms will be weakening as they rumble in our direction, a few severe wind gusts can’t be ruled out, especially across western NH. The timing for those would be late tonight.
Much cooler and drier weather will triumphantly sweep into the region on breezy NW winds tomorrow as our cold front sweeps offshore. Get ready for an entire week of temps in the 70’s with low humidity and full sun. Just about perfect for this time of year!
