Hello everyone!
Today will feature gradually increasing clouds ahead of a slow-moving cold front arriving from the west. Current satellite imagery shows a bit of valley fog inland along with some cirrus drifting through the rest of the region. Thicker mid/high clouds are noted back to the west over NY/QC. So after a couple hours of filtered sunshine this morning, expect overcast skies to develop this afternoon. Our morning sunshine combined with warm air aloft and light southerly flow will boost high temps into the low 60s for much of southern NH and interior SW ME while cooler temps (mid 50s) will be found farther east along the Maine coastal plain and up in the mountains (low 50s). A few showers will arrive in far western parts of the region this evening ahead of that cold front but most of us will be mostly dry today.
