Another storm system has wandered its way to our doorstep this morning which means we’re back to the cool and unsettled side of early fall. Skies are overcast across pretty much the whole area with just a couple glimpses of sunshine over southern NH. This will remain the case for most of the day as a front stalls out over central parts of the area. Folks near the front and up in the mountains have the best shot at seeing rain, though a few showers will escape into the foothills and perhaps even the coastal plain especially in the next couple hours and again later in the afternoon.
Temps will be determined strongly by which side of the front you’re on. Far southern NH will be on the warm side of the front with highs in the low 70s. Most of us will be near or on the cool side of the front with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s. The mountains will be firmly on the cool side of the front with rain and thicker clouds, so highs there may struggle to even reach 50.
