Today will feature warmer temps and cloudier skies as a cold front approaches and then moves through the area. Showers are expected along the front, primarily in the mountains. As the showers approach the coast, they’ll weaken and dissipate due to dry downsloping influences. Temperatures will be quite warm today compared to recent days. Highs in the low 50’s north and mid 60’s south are expected, though unfortunately sunshine appears to be a pretty limited commodity due to the cold front. The one exception to this may come this evening when downsloping could dry things out enough for some sunshine near and along the coast.
