Today will feature cool temps, cloudy skies, and the chance of rain as high pressure slips offshore and winds turn southeasterly. Thankfully, they will be nowhere near as strong as last weekend’s southeasterly winds, but, like last weekend, they’ll bring clouds and the chance of rain. The chance of rain will be greatest in the mountains today, closest to a frontal system. Rain is likely to begin as a brief period of snow or mixed precipitation in the higher elevations this morning, before a changeover to rain occurs midday today. Along the coast, drizzle, low clouds, and patchy fog will develop and increase in coverage today as onshore winds bring in low level moisture. Highs will range from the low 40’s north to the mid 50’s south.
