Heavy Snow Gradually Winds Down Today

Hello everyone!

Bands of heavy snow are rotating onshore this morning as a Nor’easter moves through the Gulf of Maine. Many places have already picked up 6-12″ with another 4-8″ yet to come depending on the exact location. Snow will continue through the morning before slowly tapering off from south to north this afternoon. Expect the first signs of slowing over Southern NH a little before noon, with snow continuing in the mountains all the way into the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Temps today will range from a little above 20 in the north to a little above 30 in the south. NE winds this morning will turn to the north and eventually northwest this afternoon, and will remain breezy though not quite strong enough to cause major issues. However, the combination of heavy wet snow and breezy winds will result in the threat of power outages along the coast where many are already in the dark.
