The circulation aloft that brought us yesterday’s storm hasn’t made it very far since it impacted us, and is currently meandering over the mountains of Vermont. This will keep us on the cooler side with unsettled conditions, especially in the mountains. High temps will range from 30 in the north to 45 in the south. Cloud cover will range from overcast in the mountains to intermittent sunshine along the coast.
In terms of precipitation, snow will be ongoing today in the mountains, and will actually ramp up this afternoon as northwesterly flow taps into some upsloping dynamics. An additional 4-8″ can be expected today in the higher terrain, especially NW facing slopes. If you’re at all able to sneak out there with your powder skis, do it!!
