Today will feature a quick round of showers as a cold front crosses the region from west to east. Ahead of the front this morning, look for clouds to increase from NW to SE. The front will enter the mountains during the late afternoon timeframe before moving SE during the evening and eventually departing the coast a little after sunset. Along the boundary, expect a brief period of showers along with the chance for a rumble or two of thunder. Given the lack of instability, no severe weather is expected.
Both temperatures and humidity will be on the rise today with highs ranging from 75 in the north to a few degrees above 80 in the south.
