Unsettled Spring Weather Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature unsettled spring weather as low pressure moves up the Saint Lawrence Valley to our west. Onshore southerly flow ahead of this system will push cool and moisture-rich air into the region this morning. One result has been fog which will be slow to burn off this morning. Another result will be the potential for scattered showers and thunderstorms especially this afternoon over parts of the area that can sneak some sunshine in during the midday hours. No severe weather is expected, but some storms may produce briefly gusty winds. For those who miss out on the thunderstorm-induced gusty winds, the low up in Quebec has you covered. Gusts across the area will climb into the 30-40 mph range as the system goes by this afternoon. That should be low enough to avoid most outage issues. High temps will range from the low/mid 50s along the Midcoast to near 70 in central NH.
