Cooler and Breezy Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature cooler temps and breezy conditions as yesterday’s storm moves off into Canada. Cooler air will move into our area on the back side of this storm, so high temps today will be observed mid/late morning before the colder air overpowers the strong late-March sun this afternoon. Look for highs ranging from the mid/high 20s north to the low 40s south. The cold air will be accompanied by gusty NW winds which could get up as high as 40-45 mph midday. This is near the lower end of what I’d consider troublesome from a power outage perspective, so while a few folks will likely end up in the dark at some point today, major issues are not expected. It helps that the leaves aren’t on the trees yet. With strong upslope/downslope winds, our usual sky cover pattern of overcast in the mountains and partly/mostly sunny along the coast looks to be a good forecast for today. Some of those mountain clouds will drop snow showers, especially this morning.
