Hello everyone!
The strong storm that brought rain and wind to the area yesterday continues to do the same this morning, at least for areas south and east of the mountains. The storm’s center has been wandering aimlessly around the Atlantic just southeast of Nantucket for the past 12 hours or so and is in no real hurry to depart. That means that it will remain the dominant force in our weather today with thick clouds, gusty NE winds, and showers expected to continue. Clouds will remain thickest and showers most persistent along the coast while drier air begins to filter into the mountains especially this afternoon. Some breaks of sun could make it as far south as the foothills by this evening. Mostly though it will be another day of chilly and unsettled weather. High temps will range from the mid 40s along the coast to the mid 50s in the CT Valley.
