Cool and Breezy with Some Scattered Showers Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature cool temps, breezy northwest winds, and the chance for some passing showers as a weak cold front taps some more Lake Ontario moisture. The best shot at some showers, either rain or snow, will be up in the mountains midday, though some may wander onto the coastal plain by early afternoon. Skies will start mostly sunny especially downwind of the mountains before clouds move in from the west this afternoon. High temps will range from the high 30s up north to the high 40s along the coast.

A Little Dash of Lake Effect Today

Hello everyone!

Today’s weather will, believe it or not, be brought to us mostly by Lake Ontario and the westerly winds pushing its moisture in our direction. Morning sunshine will give way to afternoon clouds and mountain/foothill showers as a weak disturbance helps the lake moisture over the Green Mountains into the hills of Maine and New Hampshire. High temps will occur on the earlier side today, ranging from the low 40s up north to the low 50s along the coast.

Cooler and Breezy Today

Hello everyone!

Cold air is entering the region this morning as a weak secondary cold front moves through and brings a little boost to west/northwest winds. That means that skies will be mostly sunny across the coastal plain with a few more clouds in the mountains, though there isn’t enough low-level moisture to support a solid stratus deck even up north. High temps will occur earlier than usual today and will generally range from the low 40s up north to the low 50s along the coast.
