Hello everyone!

Remember yesterday’s weather? That’s the forecast for today. Expect more cool temps, more clouds, and the slight chance for a shower once again. A weak front will attempt to move through today that could bring some sunny breaks to areas downwind of the mountains though there’s no guarantee that it will be able to work its way all the way to the coast. Highs will range from 55 along the coast to 60 just inland.

Hello everyone!

Today will feature mostly cloudy skies along with cool temps and the chance for a brief shower. Sound familiar? Hardly anything has changed from the past couple days as an upper level low continues to spin overhead. Look for highs to again remain in the 40’s north and low to mid 50’s south.

Thankfully a pattern change is on the way. After a pretty strong nor’easter Sunday, our ULL will be kicked out to sea, to be replaced by sunnier skies and warming temps by this time next week.

Today will feature cool temps, lots of clouds, and the chance for showers. What a surprise! Today’s shower threat will be greatest along the mid coast as well as in the mountains. As is the norm these days, overcast skies will dominate except perhaps right at the coast where a sunny break or two is possible. Highs will range don the mid 40’s north to the mid 50’s south.

Our cool and unsettled stretch continues today however slightly sunnier skies are expected as slightly drier air works into the coastal plain. In the mountains, however, clouds and showers will still be abundant today. A few showers could make it into the foothills or even inland areas however they won’t be widespread or long lived. Temps will rise into the 50’s for most with the warmest temps along the coast and just inland.

Today will feature more of the same cool and unsettled weather as an upper level low continues to lazily dawdle around Cape Cod. Look for cloudy skies across the area with one exception being that some areas near the coast could see a peek of sun this afternoon. Temps will range from the upper 40’s north to the mid 50’s south.

Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds for most with the cloudier skies north and west while the coast sees more sun than clouds. In terms of rain, the greatest chance for showers will be in the mountains for most of the day and then along the mid coast this evening as yet another storm rumbles by just offshore. Temps will range from the low 50’s under the clouds and showers in the north to the low 60’s under sunny skies near Portland.

Hello everyone!

Today brings the arrival of a prolonged cool and rainy period that I see no signs of ending in the next 10 days or more. It won’t rain for 10 days straight but the vast majority of those days will be overcast and will feature some sort of rain/drizzle/fog. Between 2 and 7″ of rain are likely by the time this stretch is over depending on exactly how each storm tracks. Total rainfall will also vary by location.

As for today, rain is already falling across far SW NH and will be slowly making its way NE through the day today. Portland should see rain beginning around or a little after noon while it’ll stay dry through the early afternoon along the midcoast.

Rain will become progressively heavier through the day today and by this evening/tonight, rain will be torrential along the coast, especially the midcoast. Several inches could fall in a short period of time tonight and flooding will certainly be a concern especially because rivers are already running fairly high.

Winds will be out of the east today and will be noticeable but not overly gusty. They will keep temps cool though and highs should remain at or just below 50 for the entire area.

Today will feature mainly sunny skies as well as cool temps due to cold high pressure settling in. Look for highs to range from the mid 50’s north to the low 60’s south. A sea breeze will develop this evening and keep temps down a bit at the coast. Skies will be mainly clear though some high clouds will begin making their way into the area this evening. No precipitation is expected today, we’ll have more than enough of it tomorrow and into next week.

Today will feature the typical upslope/downslope setup as yesterday’s cold front has brought NW winds to the area. Look for sunny skies to dominate the coastal plain while the mountains see persistent clouds and spotty showers. A wind shift line will roll through early in the afternoon bringing with it a thin line of showers. Behind this line, winds are forecast to become very gusty as more dry air surges in. Highs will range from the low 50’s north to mid 60’s south.

Looking for warmth? Let me know and I can provide directions to Florida. The next 7-10 days and beyond look cold and wet and today is no exception. Much of the morning will be dominated by low clouds, drizzle, fog, and leftover showers from last night’s cold front. Temps are currently in the mid 40’s and I see no reason for them to change much until the early afternoon.

A little after lunchtime, a weak disturbance will begin to approach the region and clear out the drizzle/fog/low clouds. Sunshine will break out from west to east quickly followed by convective clouds. These convective clouds should grow enough to bring a few showers and/or thunderstorms specially to western areas today. They won’t by any means be severe but they will impact outdoor plans if they happen to drift in your direction. The storms will weaken and race east as the sun sets tonight.

Temps today will peak right around 70 for most areas with cooler temps expected along the midcoast where drizzle/fog/low clouds will hang on the longest. Slightly warmer temps are expected in the usual southern NH areas.

If you’re feeling sad about missing yesterday’s heavy rain that only impacted northern and central areas, feel sad no more. Very heavy rain is in the forecast for Friday as well as through next week as a river of deep tropical moisture is pointed squarely in our direction.

Signs of early spring warmth remain nonexistent.
