Today will feature warm temperatures and high humidity as a moisture laden airmass slides overhead. Skies will feature more clouds than sun which will limit how hot things get this afternoon. The clouds will also limit how strong any showers or thunderstorms that develop this afternoon will be. Today is one of those days where your storm chances are directly tied to how much sun you see. The more sun, the greater chance for storms. Highs will rise into the 70’s for most today under the clouds with a few 80’s expected for whoever gets to enjoy some sunny breaks. At the moment, northern and western areas seem most likely to see a few breaks of sun. Showers will be moving through the area this morning with a few hours of dry weather expected in the afternoon before another round of showers, and possibly a storm or two, moves through this evening and into tonight.
Today’s forecast is all about location. Areas in the north will see mostly cloudy skies along with showers and thunderstorms as a disturbance moves along a stalled cold front. Temps in the north will remain in the mid to upper 70’s. In the south, a much nicer day is expected with more sun than clouds and generally dry conditions. Highs will rise into the low/mid 80’s with cooler conditions along the coast.
We’re back to clear and calm weather today as high pressure moves into the area. Look for sunny skies along with mild temps. The exception will be in the far north where a shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out this afternoon. Highs will rise into the 70’s for most with a few low 80’s in the typical southern and western warm spots. Enjoy the beautiful weather!
Today will feature morning sunshine turning to afternoon clouds as a cold front approaches from the west. Showers and storms will move into northwestern areas in the next hour or two and they will intensify as they move southeast early this afternoon. Some storms will become strong enough to bring gusty winds and small hail but none are expected to produce any tornadoes. Highs will rise into the upper 70’s in the far north and the midcoast while the remainder of the area sees highs in the low to mid 80’s. Showers and storms will move through earlier in the day than usual and by the time the sun sets a little after 8 PM, we should be seeing quiet weather across the board.
Today will feature more clouds than sun for much of the area as a storm system races by to our south. It will be too far south to result in any significant rainfall but clouds are likely as are a few showers/sprinkles in southern NH. A few showers and possibly a rumble of thunder are expected in the mountains as a cold front drifts in our direction. With all the clouds, temps will be a touch cooler and highs in the 70’s are generally expected.
Another awesome day is incoming as high pressure shifts just offshore. Look for cloudless skies this morning to give way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon as a storm system prepares to move just south of our area. Winds will be out of the south/southeast today meaning that the coast will enjoy refreshing temps in the 70’s while you’ll have to head west for the toastier temps in the 80’s. No precip is expected through this evening.
I’m back from the woods and have been catching up on the weather. Seems like I missed some wild storms this past weekend! The wild weather has taken a vacation to the tropical Atlantic and its departure has left us with a beautiful day today.
