Light Snow Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature some very light snow as a weak disturbance drifts through the flow aloft. Look for snow to begin in New Hampshire a little before noon, and in Maine a little after noon. Temperatures will be cold, ranging from the upper 10’s in the NE foothills  to the low 20’s for most of the rest of the area. The only locations that could see temps pop up near freezing are those that sit in the far SW corner of NH. The cold temps will allow snow to accumulate on roadways that don’t see a decent salting this morning. Watch for slick travel, especially on the back roads, even though most folks will only pick up a coating-2″ out of this event. Snow will wrap up in the foothills this evening, but will linger into tonight for both the mountains and the immediate coast, where a very weak area of coastal low pressure will try to develop. It’s in these areas where a few 2.5-3″ amounts are possible.

Warmer temperatures and more light precipitation are in the forecast for tomorrow.
