Hello everyone!
Today will feature cool temps and mostly cloudy skies as an ocean storm grazes the region on its way to Nova Scotia. This system will pass too far southeast for any precipitation here, but it will send a fairly thick cirrus deck in our direction beginning later this morning. Southwestern areas will get the clouds first while northeastern parts of the area get to enjoy a bit of sun this morning. The mountains will be socked in with upslope cloud cover for at least the first half of the day. The ample cloud cover combined with northwesterly breezes and cool temps aloft will keep highs well below normal today. Look for temps ranging from the mid 30s in the mountains to mid 40s along the coast to around 50 inland.
Rain and snow returns tomorrow as a much stronger cold front moves through.
