Today will feature the arrival of some showers from the west as a cold front prepares to move into the region from Quebec. Look for morning breaks of sun especially along the coast to give way to cloudier skies this afternoon. Showers will arrive from the west during the mid afternoon, and will be most widespread up in the mountains. Folks south of Portland may end up staying mostly dry. Southwesterly winds will pick up ahead of the front and could be rather gusty at times, especially along the coast. High temps won’t feel the wind direction much though, and will remain stuck in the mid 60s for most of the area with some low to mid 70s for southern NH.
