Today will feature another day of quiet autumn weather as high pressure slides across the region. Look for light northwest breezes to support a couple clouds upslope of the Whites while the rest of the area remains clear. High temps will remain on the cooler side, ranging from the mid 30s up north to the upper 40s down south.

Jack, any comments about the winter outlook? My gut feeling is the mild and dryer than normal pattern continues. I realize the coastal plain has had plenty of rain but the interior hills and mountain areas are still lacking. Of course the entire region has been warmer than normal for what seems like years. 😕
