Today will feature cloudy skies, seasonable temps, and increasing chances for rain showers as tropical moisture streams north ahead of a developing coastal storm. Look for showers that are already scattered across the region this morning to lift north with a period of mainly dry weather mid/late this morning. As we head into this afternoon, showers will redevelop and increase in coverage and intensity. By sundown, tropical downpours will be fairly common across southern and eastern parts of the area with slightly lighter precip back to the west. Highs will be fairly uniform under light surface flow and cloudy skies. Temps up north will sit right around 60 and temps down south will be right around 65.
Rain continues into tomorrow morning as winds begin to crank. Rain will change to snow at elevation tomorrow with some accumulation (1-3″) expected.
