Today will feature unsettled weather as a variety of upper level and surface disturbances swarm around the area. The first round of showers is now offshore and another batch of rain is incoming from New York. This will mainly impact southern areas through the early afternoon. Some breaks in the clouds are trying to develop over the mountains and if they continue to be successful, the threat will increase for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. However, due to the abundant cloud cover, these storms are expected to be weak and isolated. Temps will rise into the 60’s and low 70’s as clouds limit daytime heating.
