Today will feature the passage of another strong cold front as our pattern rumbles quickly on in the direction of late fall. Some light rain and snow is moving through a few areas this morning, but the more noticeable precipitation will come a little later on this afternoon as the cold front itself rolls through. A line of showers will form along this front, and could pack a bit of a punch with gusty winds and brief bursts of very heavy precipitation. A clap of thunder can’t be ruled out as well.
Speaking of gusty winds, they’ll be present outside of just the showers. Expect winds to be breezy from the WSW this morning, before becoming breezy from the NW this afternoon. Unfortunately, we’ll be seeing more clouds than sun today, though a general trend towards sunnier skies is expected this afternoon/evening as those showers are moving through.
