Rain and snow associated with a developing coastal storm to our east will continue impacting the region this morning, especially in eastern areas closer to the system’s center. Bands of rain and snow will continue to pivot south, with some of the rain in the foothills and over interior parts of the midcoast potentially briefly changing over to snow as some stronger dynamics move in aloft. Several inches of additional accumulation are expected where temps are below freezing up in the mountains, but closer to the coast, any flip to snow is likely to be brief, and won’t amount to more than a dusting.
High temps will range from 35 in the north to 45 in the south under mainly cloudy skies. Though a few breaks of sun are possible downwind of the mountains right around sunset.
