Cold air is arriving today behind an incoming cold front. This front, and a subsequent reinforcing disturbance will bring snow showers to the mountains later this morning through the midday hours. Some of those snow showers may actually be able to make it down to the foothills/coastal plain heading into the early afternoon, though any accumulation of note will be limited to the higher terrain where upsloping will bring a few inches through tonight. NW winds will also pick up as these disturbances rotate through.
High temps today will range from 25 in the north to 40 in the south. Most areas will see overcast skies, but as downsloping takes hold this afternoon/evening, the coast should manage at least some sunnier breaks.
