Today will feature more in the way of summery weather as August slowly rolls along. Temps will be warm, ranging from 75 in the north to 85 in the south, and skies will be partly to mostly sunny away from the Midcoast where low clouds and some fog will be slow to burn off. Once we get to the afternoon, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase in New Hampshire where sunshine will build up a modest pool of instability. Some of the stronger cells may produce a damaging wind gust or two but otherwise the severe threat will be on the lower side. Showers and storms will weaken as they slide east into Maine this evening.
