Hello everyone!
Today will feature unsettled weather as a large storm system develops to our west. The system’s warm front is currently producing showers across much of Western Maine as I write this shortly before 8 AM. These showers will gradually lift north today, and everyone can expect intermittent light/moderate rain for much of today as more showers move north out of Massachusetts. Later this afternoon/evening, the warm front will push north of the region, leading to a decrease in shower activity. Temps today will be quite warm due SW winds behind the front pushing a tropical airmass in our direction. Look for highs ranging from around 60 in the north to around 70 in SE NH.
If your family is heading out for some trick-or-treating this evening, be advised that scattered showers are possible, but it won’t be a washout. Temps in the 5-9 PM timeframe will be comfortably warm, in the low to mid 60’s for most.
A line of gusty showers will approach the region from the west late tonight before gusty westerly winds bring drier air back into the region tomorrow.
