Hello everyone!

A weakening storm system over the Great Lakes is trying to push into our area today as we’re defended by a strong high pressure system over eastern Quebec. For those in the south and west, particularly NH, the storm will wrestle control over much of today’s weather while those in the north and east will enjoy the high pressure’s way of life (at least for most of the day). Most of the area is starting out clear this morning with just a few high clouds working into southern NH. As the day goes on, look for clouds to slowly creep northeast reaching Portland midday. The Maine mountains will be able to hold onto the sunshine for the longest with clouds arriving just in time for sunset. Some of the clouds will be dropping light rain showers, but overall precipitation looks quite minimal.

Ahead of this front, winds will turn onshore which puts the chilliest temps along the coast and the warmest temps up in the northern and eastern mountains. Look for highs in the upper 40s to low 50s along the shoreline and upper 50s to low 60s northeast of Farmington.
