A warm front has decided to bite the dust basically right overhead this morning which means we’ll be left with plenty of cloud cover and cooler temps thanks to winds off the water. Look for highs ranging from the mid 50s in the CT Valley and points northeast of Augusta to around 50 along the shoreline and up in the mountains. Low clouds are widespread this morning, though some thin patches are beginning to emerge. The low cloud deck should generally hold tough through most of the day, though it may start to thin out a bit more this afternoon. Overall though, gray is the way today. Some patchy drizzle and fog can’t be ruled out given the low cloud deck and onshore flow, but there will be very little in the way of large-scale precipitation today.
