Today will feature cool and cloudy weather as the remnants of Hurricane Michael rumble by to our south. Look for highs to range from 40 in the mountains to around 60 along the coast. NW winds will pick up as Michael moves by, which will make the cool temps feel even a bit cooler. As far as precipitation goes, none is expected as low-level dry air will evaporate any rain that falls from aloft. While Michael’s precipitation will remain confined to Southern New England, the storm’s clouds will be able to easily flow northward, leaving us with overcast skies for most of the morning hours. Some clearing downwind of the mountains is possible this evening just before sunset. Upslope flow will keep the mountains socked in the clouds through the evening.
