A Calm Winter’s Day Today

Hello everyone!

Calm weather is expected today as we sit between two clipper systems. The first brought those squalls yesterday, and is now racing NE through Labrador. The second is currently bringing snow to the Midwest, and will arrive tomorrow. In between, expect mostly sunny skies, dry conditions, and seasonably chilly temps ranging from 5 in the north to 25 in the south.

The clipper will redevelop offshore tomorrow night, leading to a 6-12″ snowfall for the mountains with lesser amounts closer to the coast. More details on that system either tonight or tomorrow morning.

  1. Jack, just a note to say how much I enjoy having this forecast every morning. You probably have plenty enough to do as a student, so I appreciate it even more that you’re sending these out. THANK YOU!!
