We drew the meteorological short straw today in a big way. Areas both northeast and southwest of us will be enjoying sunny skies and warmer temps today while the entirety of our region is stuck in a chilly and cloudy pattern. To highlight just how unlucky we happen to be today, here’s one of our forecast models showing high temperatures today.
The area with expected high temps in the 40’s perfectly outlines the area I forecast for: north of the MA/NH border, east of the CT river, south of the Canadian border, and SW of a line extending from Belfast to Dover-Foxcroft.
In addition to the cool temps and clouds, we’ll start the day off with some rain showers too, especially across eastern parts of the area. These will slowly dissipate as we move towards the midday hours.
