Hello everyone!
Today will feature mostly quiet weather as large thunderstorms develop off to our west. Morning cloud cover will slowly thin out over the next few hours, and most of us will see at least a brief glimpse of the sun by lunchtime. Clouds will develop again this afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front. That front will arrive early tonight, and will bring with it some showers and thunderstorms. Rain will begin in western NH around 7 PM before spreading into Maine later in the evening. Any severe weather will remain to our west today with the best instability, though some gusty winds are possible in the CT valley as the initial line of storms moves through. Rain will continue into the night, but shouldn’t accumulate to enough for flooding concerns.
Highs will range from 50 along the immediate coast north of Portland to 70 in the typical SW NH warm spots.
