Unsettled Weather Returns Today

Hello everyone!

Today will feature the return of unsettled weather as two cold fronts linger near the region. The first front sits offshore this morning, and has more moisture (and thus rain) associated with it. This front will remain stationary for most of the day before moving slowly east this evening. It will likely be responsible for a period of steady rain along the midcoast east of Bath during the late afternoon/early evening hours.

The second front is moving into the region from the west. It currently doesn’t have much moisture, but is producing some shower activity off to our west. This front will bring some scattered shower activity to the mountains today before moving offshore this evening. A noticeably colder airmass will move in behind this system for the rest of the week, setting up our first snowfall event on Thursday night.

High temps today will be on the milder side, ranging from 45 in the north to 55 in the south.
